Focus on the exhibitions currently on display at Teatro dell'architettura Mendrisio

During the Open Doors weekend, which featured guided tours led by students from the Academy of Architecture at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) on 1 and 2 February 2025, Il Quotidiano RSI visited Teatro dell'architettura Mendrisio (TAM) to cover the event and showcase the ongoing exhibitions.

On Sunday, students had the chance to lead guided tours of the exhibition dedicated to the Swedish architecture firm Arrhov Frick. They accompanied visitors as they explored the various projects on display. In particular, the students presented some of their works and models featured in the exhibition showcasing the 2023/24 teaching activities of the USI Academy of Architecture.

Two exhibitions are currently being held at TAM; the first, "URSPRUNG Origine / Origin", is promoted by the Academy of Architecture and curated by the Swedish architecture studio Arrhov Frick, with photographs by Mikael Olsson. It will be open to the public until 2 March 2025.

The second, "The Mendrisio School. A project", is an exhibition of the collective work produced by the USI Academy of Architecture students and lecturers during the academic year 2023/24. It will be open to the public throughout the academic year 2024/25.
